Learning Community Requirements

Requirements for Application Submission:

  1. Cannot be currently enrolled in ANY other learning community on campus including Partnership for Primary Care (PPC).
  2. Must be an undergraduate student.
  3. Must be your first time in college.
  4. Must complete fall 2014 semester with a 3.5 GPA or higher and completed 12 hours in the fall 2014 semester. GPA calculations will include course taken in Fall 2014.
  5. Taken or registered for Chemistry 101 or 102; Biology 107 or 111; or Animal Science 107/108
  6. Non-mandatory activities/field trips on weekends will be asked of you to attend. Please see attached draft schedule for further dates and information.
  7. The students will be selected by a committee of faculty, staff and department heads shortly after grades are posted for the fall semester.  You will be notified through email and provided directions on how to register for the time so that it will be added to your schedule.

If you are accepted into the learning community program you will need to register for the learning community meeting time. In Howdy it is LCSE 002-514 on Thursdays from 5:00-6:00!
