One Health is the collaborative effort of multiple disciplines working locally, nationally, and globally to attain sustainable optimal health for the ecosystem*. It is a cultural and behavioral concept with socioeconomic elements and impact.

Learning Community Requirements

Requirements for Application Submission:

  1. Cannot be currently enrolled in ANY other learning community on campus including Partnership for Primary Care (PPC).
  2. Must be an Animal Science, Biomedical Science, Nutrition, and Health & Kinesiology major
  3. Must be your first time in college.
  4. Must exhibit an interest in Veterinary or Medical career fields
  5. Must complete fall 2013 semester with a 3.5 GPA or higher, complete 12 hours in fall 2013
  6. Meet requirements for Doctorate of  Veterinary Medicine and College of Medicine in Chemistry 101, 102 or  Biology 107 or 111, 112 or completed ANSC 107/108
  7. Non-mandatory activities/field trips on weekends will be asked of you to attend. Please see attached draft schedule for further dates and information.

If you are accepted into the learning community program you will need to register for the learning community meeting time. In Howdy it is LCSE 002-514 on Thursdays from 5:00-6:00!
