Regular meetings will be held monthly, when possible, as
determined by the officer team. All members will be properly
notified of all meetings. Meetings are open to any member of the
Student One Health Association (SOHA) that wishes to attend.
Meetings and special events may have an entry charge for

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to bring their best
dodgeball game! Faculty and residents who are not members of
the REC will pay $10 to enter the facility (photo ID required), and
non-university guests are allowed to watch but not play. Food
and drinks not in a plastic resealable bottle are not allowed.
Teams must have at least 6 teammates, a super fun and clever

Caldwell, TX
This fall, the Student One Health Association (SOHA) will be
carrying out an educational event in Caldwell, TX in which students
will have the opportunity to educate community members on relevant
One Health topics such as influenza, rabies, and heartworms.
Additionally, we will be raising donations for a low-cost
human/animal clinic! Volunteers are welcomed. To

Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine
& Biomedical Sciences Open House 2015
Open House is student organized and allows the public to see
what is happening at the college. The Student One Health
Association (SOHA) participated in this event. SOHA educated the
public about the importance of washing their hands and the One
Health concept. A black light was used to show participants of
their germs before and after they washed their hands.
One Health Webinar
The Student One Health Association (SOHA) participated in a One
Health Comission Webinar with more than 38 other institutions from
12 countries to share their One Health Club/Association activities.

Roundtable
On March 2, 2015 the Student One Health Association (SOHA)
partnered with VOICE (Veterinary Students as One In Culture and
Ethnicity) to present our spring One Health Roundtable. The panel
consisted of two medical students, two veterinary students, and two
public health students each accompanied by a clinician or
professional from their field. Topics discussed were
differences/similarities between human and animal medicine, ethical
matters in both fields, the role of each discipline in health
promotion and mitigating zoonoses, and ways that each discipline
can collaborate.
Masquerade Ball
In the spring of 2015, the Student One Health Association
(SOHA) hosted a masquerade ball fundraiser.
